Used as the first stage of defense on the system, the sediment filter achieves filtration down to 5 microns and removes dirt and other various larger-sized particles that may clog the following filters from the water. The second stage houses a 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filter, using high-quality coconut shell carbon and highly compact fabrication tech for maximum filtration efficiency (removes up to 99% chlorine) and filter life.

The filter set is able to remove up to 99% of chlorine from water as well as sediment, rust, pesticides, herbicides, industrial solvents, VOCs, and various other contaminants. All filters have a capacity of 100,000 gallons of water, enough to supply a family of four with clean water for a full year (depending on your water quality). The filters are specially designed for a high water flow: up to 15 gallons per minute, and fit iSpring 2-stage whole house systems or any standard 20" x 4.5" filter housings. Unlike an RO membrane, the filters don't reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and instead keep healthy minerals in your water.

The 1st stage high capacity polypropylene sediment filter achieves filtration down to 5 micron, and the 2nd stage carbon block water filters are made of high-quality coconut shell carbon for maximum filtration efficiency and filter life.
